Cookies Policy.
The small number of cookies the site uses, what each one is for, and how to control them.

1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website may save to your device when you visit. They help the site remember you between pages and visits, and (in some cases) help the site or third parties measure how visitors use the site.
2. The cookies we currently use
At the time of writing, gsos.co.uk uses no third-party tracking cookies. Specifically:
- No Google Analytics, no Meta Pixel, no advertising cookies.
- Cloudflare (our host) may set a small number of strictly necessary cookies — such as the __cf_bm security cookie — for protection against bots and abuse. These are short-lived, are not used to track you across other sites, and are exempt from consent requirements.
- Stripe sets cookies during checkout for fraud prevention; these are strictly necessary to process payments and are exempt from consent requirements.
- Plausible Analytics (planned) is a privacy-respecting analytics service that does not set tracking cookies and does not collect personally identifying information. We will update this page before enabling it.
3. If we add cookies in the future
If we add any cookies that require your consent (for example for advertising, retargeting, or non-anonymised analytics), we will:
- Update this page first
- Show a consent banner the next time you visit, before any non-essential cookies are set
- Make it as easy to refuse as it is to accept
4. How to manage cookies yourself
You can control or delete cookies through your browser at any time. Every major browser explains how in its help section:
- Safari — Settings → Privacy
- Chrome — Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data
- Firefox — Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
- Edge — Settings → Cookies and site permissions
Disabling strictly-necessary cookies (security, payment) may break parts of the site.
